October 2018 Florida and Brazil Citrus Reports
The report, released October 11, 2018, forecasts Florida all orange production of 79.0 million boxes, a projected increase of 76% from last season’s hurricane-impacted production of 45.0 million boxes. At current projections, the USDA is forecasting the largest Florida orange crop since the 2015 – 2016 season. This projected volume is comprised of 34.0 million boxes of early, midseason and Navel varieties and 45.0 million boxes of Valencia oranges.
